Terms and Refunds
MailCode for macOS and Windows · Last updated 19 September 2026
The short version: try MailCode free for 14 days. If you buy a licence
and change your mind, ask within 14 days of buying and you get all of your money back —
no questions. A licence is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
Who you are buying from
MailCode is made by Ertan Yüce (“the developer”). MailCode for Windows is sold by
Gül Yüce, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye, under licence
from the developer. On this page, “we” means the developer and the seller. Write to
[email protected] about anything on this page.
- On Windows, Gül Yüce sells licences through
Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record: our
order process is conducted by Paddle, which takes the payment, charges any sales tax or
VAT, and sends the receipt. Paddle’s own terms for buyers also apply to the purchase
itself. Prices are on the Pricing page.
- On a Mac, MailCode comes from the
Mac App Store. Apple sells it,
Apple’s terms apply, and refunds for a Mac purchase are requested from Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com — we cannot
issue them.
The free trial
- 14 days, with every feature. No card and nothing to cancel.
- When it ends, MailCode stops opening your mail until a licence is entered. Your accounts,
your local archive and your settings stay on your computer — nothing is deleted.
The licence (Windows)
- A licence is a single payment of the price shown at checkout. There is no subscription
and no renewal fee. Updates arrive through the app at no extra cost.
- One licence key covers up to 2 PCs at a time, for you or your organisation. To move it
to a new PC, open Help ▸ License… on the old one and choose
Deactivate this PC. (On a Mac there is no key and no PC count: the App Store ties
the purchase to your Apple ID, under Apple’s terms.)
- Please do not publish or resell a key, or work around the licence check. A key that is
shared publicly may be disabled.
- MailCode checks its licence with the developer’s licence server about once a day. It
sends the key and an identifier for the PC’s activation, plus the PC’s name when the key
is first activated on it — never your mail. See the
Privacy Policy.
Refunds
- Within 14 days of purchase: a full refund, no questions asked. Write to
[email protected] with the email address you
bought with (the order number helps), or use the link in your receipt.
- The refund goes back to the card or account you paid with. How quickly it appears is up
to your bank.
- A refunded licence key is disabled. Within about a day MailCode returns to the state it
was in when the trial ended — your mail and settings stay where they are.
- After 14 days, purchases are not refundable, except where the law requires it.
- Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country
you live in.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make MailCode reliable, but it is provided “as is”. Keep your own backups:
MailCode stores mail on your disk, and a disk can fail. To the extent the law allows, we are
not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a licence is
limited to what you paid for it. Where your consumer law does not allow these limits, they
do not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change never takes away a
licence you have already bought, or the refund window that came with it.
