Add a forgotten Teams link to a meeting you already sent

5 October 2026 · searched as add teams link to existing meeting invite

The invitation went out without the join link. Sending a second mail splits the meeting in two; editing it in Outlook often re-sends the whole agenda. MailCode’s Update Meeting sends only what changed.

How to do it

  1. Open Calendar, click the meeting and press ✎ Update Meeting. It appears on meetings you organised.
  2. Under Online Meeting, click MS Teams and paste the link — or put any link (Zoom, Meet) in Location.
  3. For a repeating meeting, choose This occurrence or The whole series.
  4. Click Send Update →. Everyone invited gets the change, and the agenda you wrote stays exactly as it was.

Fields you leave alone are not sent at all; with nothing changed the form says Nothing changed yet. The link goes at the top of the meeting text, above anything already there. This is for meetings in an Exchange or Microsoft 365 calendar, where Exchange mails the update itself.
