Find a supplier’s IBAN in your email

5 October 2026 · searched as find bank details in emails

A supplier’s IBAN is in an invoice footer somewhere, or in a mail from their finance team. Ask MailCode and it reads the IBANs out of their mail — only ones whose check digits add up, so a mistyped number does not make the list.

How to do it

  1. Click All Mail in the explorer.
  2. Type IBAN of Northwind into the search box and press Enter. Turkish works too: Northwind'in IBAN'ı.
  3. The panel above the list shows each IBAN found, how many messages carry it, and the newest one — click it to open that mail. ⧉ copies the number.
MailCode: IBAN of Northwind — read out of their mail, check digits verified.

It reads the subject and text of the mail stored on this device, nothing is sent anywhere, and it works offline. An IBAN written in lower case or with dashes is not picked up. The same question works for email address of Dana Reed and links from Hugo Bauer — addresses and links written in the mail, not the sender’s own address. Always confirm bank details with the supplier before paying: a mail can be forged.
