Write one email in two languages

5 October 2026 · searched as write email in two languages

Writing to someone who reads both languages, or to a team that does not share one, the clearest mail carries both. Write in your language; MailCode puts the translation below it or beside it, in a colour of its own.

How to do it

  1. Write the message as usual, then click the AI Assistant button in the composer toolbar.
  2. In the Translate row, pick the language to translate into and tick Bilingual.
  3. Choose Stacked (the translation below) or Side by side (two columns, level paragraph by paragraph), and the colour of the translated text.
  4. Click Translate, look over the result, and click ↩ Apply. The draft keeps its formatting, and ↺ Undo puts it back as it was.

No AI key is needed: short texts go through Google’s free translation service, longer ones to your own AI provider if you have set one up. Side by side is built as a table, which keeps the two languages level in every mail program, Outlook included. If you answered inside the quote, your own comments there are translated too, each under its line.
