See which emails are waiting on your reply

5 October 2026 · searched as see which emails need a reply

An inbox sorted by date mixes the mail that needs you with the mail that merely arrived. MailCode’s Summary sorts today’s mail by what it wants from you — starting with the conversations where someone wrote to you and is waiting.

How to do it

  1. Click Summary in the activity bar.
  2. Choose the window: Today, Yesterday, Last 3 days, This week, or a range of your own.
  3. The board opens on Needs a reply: mail written to you where the other side spoke last. The other chips show Waiting on them, Invitations, For information, Automated and Everything else.
  4. Double-click a card to read it; ↑ and ↓ move through the cards. ✓ Clear and next takes the one you have dealt with off the board.

Most of the sorting is not a guess: who spoke last, whether you were in To or in Cc, whether an invitation is attached and whether you have ever answered that sender are facts in your mail, read on your own computer. Only what is left over can go to an AI provider, and only if you set one up — the ✨ AI button says whether it is on. Right-click a card to file it under another category.
